MakeIT 2026 & JCON Slovenia 2026 is a three-day, in-person developer conference held 27–29 May 2026 in Portorož, Slovenia, at the Convention Centre Portus (Hotel Slovenia). The event combines two tracks: a Java & open source track focused on AI-powered Java (JVM, Spring, cloud-native Java, microservices, performance, testing, and AI tooling) and an Oracle Technology track focused on Oracle Database/APEX/PLSQL/Cloud plus AI + data workflows and automation. Programming emphasizes practical, actionable sessions and hands-on labs, alongside forward-looking “EDGE” content on how AI changes development practices and system architecture. The format includes workshops on Wednesday, conference days Thursday–Friday, and evening social events including a gala dinner and closing ceremony.
