Future of Data Summit 2026 is an invitation-only, public-sector-focused summit convening state and local government data, technology, privacy, and AI leaders to discuss how to deliver data-driven government. The program emphasizes building trust across stakeholders, addressing security and privacy concerns, upskilling staff, and evolving long-standing practices. Agenda topics include public trust in government, the Chief Data Officer’s role as AI expands (including reliability/fairness/understandability), tabletop round-robin discussions framed around People/Process/Technology, and communicating data/AI value through storytelling.
